Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn is recovering in Treviso, Italy, after a scary crash.
Vonn was just 13 seconds into her downhill run when she hit a ski flag and lost control, hitting the snow hard.
She had to be airlifted off the mountain and taken to the hospital for a broken left leg.
Her broken leg comes just nine days after she announced she planned to ski on a ruptured ACL following another crash down a mountain ahead of the Olympics.
Dr. Solomon Cogan, the owner and clinical director of the Nerve and Disc Institute, joined Local 4 Live to talk about Vonn’s injury. You can watch the full interview at the beginning of this article.
