A social media star who got injured and had to go to a hospital in Michigan said workers at the hospital wrongly accessed his medical records.
Josh Cauldwell-Clarke and Jason Riley, known as “Josh and Jase,” are a very popular British social media duo who traveled to the state of Michigan last month, visiting Northern Michigan and Metro Detroit.

While visiting the state, Josh was in pain and went to receive treatment at a hospital, where he discovered he had torn a ligament.
Josh and Jase have since left Michigan, but on Wednesday, Feb. 11, Josh posted a video to his social media accounts about how he received a letter from the hospital notifying him of a data breach.
The letter notified Josh, also known as “Josh From England” online, that it recently discovered that hospital employees had wrongly accessed his medical records. He didn’t release the name of the hospital.
“We recently learned that on January 18-19, 2026, several [name of the hospital] employees accessed your electronic health record without a work-related reason for doing so,” Josh said as he read the letter.
The social media star said this worries him.
“The fact there’s people out there now who know my personal address, and I keep parts of my life very private,” Josh said in the video. “They know where I live. They know a lot of information about me, without my permission.”
He then requested that people not take advantage of their roles at work, especially if it involves his personal information.
In addition, he also shared the following comment under his post, in which he said hospital staff were asking for selfies while he was receiving treatment at the hospital.
“Let me be clear and I’ll speak with facts - This was unique to me,” Josh wrote in the comment. “Staff members were entering the room I was in whilst receiving treatment and asking for selfies (there are witnesses to this) whilst I was under medication and in pain and I’ve kept quiet about this but to learn employees have accessed my personal private information for their own knowledge, is not okay. They also explained to me they had taken my name off of the notice board to keep things lowkey. The word got around. I am all for meeting fans and being polite and will never turn down meeting someone, however lines and boundaries have been crossed and it comes to a time where I need to take a stance.”
As of Thursday afternoon, Josh’s Facebook video about the letter has over 5 million views, while the Instagram video has nearly 900,000 views, and the TikTok video has nearly 500,000 views.
