WARREN, Mich. – A 57-year-old Macomb County woman is facing felony charges after two dozen animals were seized from “deplorable conditions.”
According to authorities, the investigation into Michelle Reyntiens began when they suspected she was selling narcotics in Warren.

A search warrant was executed Thursday, Feb. 12, at a home on Hobart Avenue, near the intersection of Nine Mile and Schoenherr roads.
Authorities said the home was unsanitary and had nine dogs, 11 puppies and four turtles living in “deplorable conditions.”
Some of the animals reportedly required immediate medical attention. Macomb County Animal Control took custody of all 24 animals for treatment.
Reyntiens was arrested and charged with animal cruelty and possession of a controlled substance less than 25 grams. She remains lodged at the Macomb County Jail on a $30,000 bond.
