Car explosion in Warren hospitalizes 1

WARREN, Mich. – A man was hospitalized with burns after a car exploded in Warren.

It happened Monday, Feb. 16, off 13 Mile Road, near Halmich Park.

According to authorities, first responders found a 2013 Honda Accord fully engulfed. The victim was found nearby with burns to his hands and arms.

He is expected to survive.

Fire crews extinguished the Honda about 10 minutes after arriving on the scene.

Investigators from the Warren fire and police departments are working to determine the cause of the explosion and fire.
