DETROIT – Detroit keeps showing up for pro women’s hockey -- and the PWHL is returning the favor.
On March 28, the New York Sirens and Montreal Victoire will bring a neutral-site matchup to Little Caesars Arena.

Last season, Little Caesars Arena set a U.S. attendance record for a professional women’s hockey game with 14,228 fans and marked the PWHL’s one millionth fan milestone.
The March 28 matchup is the second and final Detroit stop on this season’s Takeover Tour, giving local fans a chance to see elite players in person even though the city does not have a PWHL franchise.
The matchup’s roster features several Olympians, including U.S. gold medalist Hayley Scamurra and multiple Canadian silver medalists: Sarah Fillier, Kristin O’Neill, Kayla Osborne, Marie-Philip Poulin, Laura Stacey, Erin Ambrose and Kati Tabin.
The PWHL began play in 2023 with six founding teams and expanded last season to add Seattle and Vancouver.
The league has not confirmed further expansion beyond the 2025–26 season, but Detroit remains a strong candidate to host a future franchise.
