Woman pleads no contest after SUV drives through Macomb County child’s bedroom
Expected to be sentenced April 29
Caris Adell Wade (WDIV)CENTER LINE, Mich. – A woman has pleaded no contest to charges after allegedly driving an SUV through a child’s bedroom.
It happened at about 3 a.m. Oct. 13, at a Center Line home near 10 Mile Road and Van Dyke Avenue.
A 9-year-old girl who was sleeping at the time was thrown from her bedroom and into the yard, suffering multiple serious injuries.

Police said the SUV missed hitting a 22-month-old baby girl in the home by four feet.
Caris Adell Wade reportedly crashed the SUV and ran off on foot, but she was taken into custody shortly after by a nearby Warren police officer.
The next day, Wade was charged with reckless driving causing serious injury and failure to stop at the scene of a crash.
On Monday, March 2, Wade pleaded no contest. She is expected to be sentenced April 29.
