MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – A fire on Wednesday has temporarily closed a popular Macomb County restaurant.
The fire happened on March 4 at Georgio’s Apple Orchard Inn in Washington Township.
“Today our hearts are heavy as we share that our restaurant experienced an unexpected fire yesterday. While this is incredibly difficult for our family and team, we are deeply grateful that all employees and guests were able to get out safely and no one was injured.”

On Facebook, the restaurant announced it will be closed to assess the damage and begin the recovery process.

Officials did not immediately release details about the cause of the fire, the extent of the damage, or the exact location and time of the incident.
Firefighters and other first responders were thanked in the restaurant’s statement.

The restaurant said staff and guests evacuated safely, and no injuries were reported.
