Detroit man accused of leading 2 police chases in Roseville in stolen cars

Caesar Cooper, 24, was out on bond on charges in Oakland, Wayne counties during arrest, authorities say

A Detroit man arrested on Thursday for allegedly being found with a stolen car is also accused of leading two high-speed chases within three days in Roseville while driving stolen cars.

Caesar Cooper, 24, of Detroit, was charged with two counts of fleeing and eluding in the third degree and receiving and concealing a stolen motor vehicle.

Cooper was arrested on March 5 in Westland after allegedly being found with a stolen car and running away from police officers. After further investigation, authorities learned he was allegedly involved in two high-speed chases over a three-day period in Roseville while driving a stolen car.

When Cooper was arrested, the sheriff’s office said he was out on bond on charges of conducting a criminal enterprise and unlawfully driving away in Oakland County and receiving and concealing a stolen motor vehicle in Wayne County.

The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office said authorities recovered a 2023 BMW 760i that was stolen from Manheim Auto Auction in New Jersey, a 2025 BMW 740i that was stolen from Manheim Auto Auction in Detroit and a Ram RHO that was stolen out of the Stellantis Jefferson North Assembly Plant in Detroit.

Cooper’s bond was set at $250,000 with a GPS tether required upon release.
