“I stopped and bought a Fast Cash ticket on my way to work and looked It over later that day,” the player told lottery officials. “My mom has the Michigan Lottery app on her phone, so when I saw I’d won the jackpot, I had her scan the ticket to make sure it was real. We started screaming and jumping up and down when $533,646 came up on the scanner!”

The teen purchased his winning ticket at the Mobil X at 3983 Van Dyke Road in Almont, which is about 40 miles east of Flint. He is planning to save his winnings.

Fast Cash tickets range from $2 to $30 per play. Every ticket gives players a chance to win all or part of the progressive jackpot, which can be won instantly.

Each time a Fast Cash ticket is purchased, the jackpot grows. Players can see the current jackpot printed at the top of their ticket.
