Belleville man sold illegal Glock switches to undercover agent in CVS parking lot, feds say
Federal agents said a convicted felon from Belleville sold illegal machine gun conversion devices known as “Glock switches” in a CVS parking lot, bragged about testing them with 1,000 rounds of ammo, and admitted he could turn firearms fully automatic for cash.
According to a complaint filed by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), investigators were already looking at W. Wayne Cherry, 56, for suspected federal gun crimes when they learned he had allegedly dropped off a dangerous gift at a Belleville-area gun shop: a bag of “Glock switches.”

According to authorities, United States Park Rangers contacted multiple vessels along the cliffs making up the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore on July 25, 2025. The boats reportedly had people carving large letters into the cliff faces and had collected over 100 pounds of rocks with the intent to take them home.

The Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority has announced toll prices for the upcoming Gordie Howe International Bridge.
The new bridge connects I-75 in Detroit to Highway 401 in Ontario. The Detroit Regional Chamber called it “the most consequential infrastructure project in the state.”
