Wayne County man accused of trying to rent an 8-year-old girl for $250 during online chat

Federal prosecutors said a registered sex offender from Wayne County tried to arrange the sexual abuse of a young child and then sent an explicit video involving a young girl.

It’s a case that unfolded in graphic messages with an undercover agent posing online as the parent of a girl under 10 years old.

Nathan Baker, 31, of Flat Rock, was indicted on one count of distribution of child sexually abusive material on March 11, 2026.

Man caught with pants down near Detroit park, drops gun under car, feds say

A man was found by a police officer with his pants down at a car near a Detroit park in the middle of the night, and was then arrested after a gun was found underneath the car.

William Joseph Frank Jr., 25, is facing a federal charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm. A criminal complaint against Frank was unsealed to the public on March 11.

1 injured, 2 arrested in shooting following fight between juveniles in Sterling Heights

One person was injured, and two others were arrested after a shooting that followed a fight between juveniles in Sterling Heights.

The incident occurred on Sunday (March 15) at 8:25 p.m. in the north/east plaza parking lot of 18 Mile Road and Dequinder Road.

Grosse Pointe man held on $1M bond in string of Oakland County burglaries

A 54-year-old from Grosse Pointe is facing charges in a string of burglaries across Metro Detroit.

According to authorities, police in Bloomfield Township responded to a home invasion early March 11. Police said the homeowner returned home and found someone inside, who then ran off.

Police said they quickly located Theodore Goolsby driving south from the area and took him into custody. Jewelry stolen from the home were recovered from his vehicle.
