According to authorities, a trooper in the area noticed 28-year-old Michael Riggers, who had an active arrest warrant, ride through an intersection without stopping. The trooper attempted a traffic stop, but Riggers reportedly continued pedaling before eventually stopping at a nearby home, where he was taken into custody.

Police said they found that he had a concealed pistol, methamphetamine and prescription pills on Riggers at the time. He did not have a concealed pistol license and the pills were not prescribed to him.

A search of Rigger’s home reportedly led to the seizure of another pistol, 14 long guns -- one stolen in 2016 -- and more methamphetamine.

On Monday, March 30, Riggers of Rapid River was charged with possession of methamphetamine, carrying a concealed weapon, maintaining a drug house, possession of analogues, and resisting/obstructing a police officer.

His bond was set at $25,000.
