Upcoming tick season could be worse than last year -- here’s how to protect yourself

This year’s tick season is expected to be one of the worst in years.

Experts said it’s due to warming temperatures and an expanding tick population. We’re primarily concerned with only a few, in particular, the black-legged tick, because it spreads Lyme disease. Over 475,000 people are infected each year.
