Upper Peninsula man charged with 52 felonies in child sex abuse case

Suspect faces charges ranging from possession to aggravated abuse

A 41-year-old man from Ishpeming is facing more than four dozen felony charges after a search of his home reportedly found child porn.

According to authorities, the investigation into Shawn Cory Holm began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children learned he may have shared explicit content online.

A search of his home resulted in evidence being seized and his arrest.

Holms was charged March 30 with 13 counts of possession of child sexually abusive material, 13 counts of aggravated child sexually abusive activity and 26 counts of using a computer to commit a crime.

His bond was set at $260,000 and is expected to return to court April 15.
