Michigan man accused of possessing child pornography faces over 50 charges

MARQUETTE COUNTY, Mich. – A Northern Michigan man is facing over 50 charges for allegedly possessing child pornography.

Shawn Cory Holm, 41, from Ishpeming, was charged with 13 counts of possessing child sexually abusive material, 13 counts of aggravated child sexually abusive activity and 26 counts of using a computer to commit a crime.

According to Michigan State Police, Holm was arrested following an investigation initiated by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the ICAC Task Force.

It’s alleged that Holm accessed and shared child pornography on the internet. His home was searched, and digital evidence was seized.

Holm was arraigned on March 30, and his bond was set at $260,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 15.
