The FBI’s Detroit Field Office announced it is assisting the Michigan State Police in the investigation into the infant’s death.

Officials said the newborn’s body was found June 28 inside a portable restroom at the Electric Forest Music Festival in Rothbury.

Investigators are seeking information from the public that could help identify and apprehend those responsible.

The FBI said it is offering a reward of up to $15,000 for information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the individual or individuals involved in the infant’s death.

Michigan State Police continue to lead the investigation with assistance from the FBI.

Officials have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the infant’s death or identified any suspects.
