Common dog and cat medication will now be available at CVS Pharmacy locations.
The pharmacy made the announcement on July 21.

According to CVS, common pet medication will available at all of its approximately 9,000 locations nationwide.
At CVS, Pet owners will be able to fill prescriptions for select pet-only medications, including antibiotics, allergy, flea and tick control and insulin.
According the the pharmacy, they aim to expand access to essential pet health care by helping give greater flexibility and convivence in where pet prescriptions can be filled.
Pet prescriptions will be eligible for many of the same pharmacy services as their owners’, including automatic refills and prescription syncing.
Select pet medications will available for delivery.
“CVS Pharmacy can now serve every member of the family,” said Sid Tenneti, Senior Vice President and Interim President, Pharmacy and Consumer Wellness, CVS Health.
How it works
To fill your pet prescription at a CVS Pharmacy owners can either present a written prescription or ask their veterinarian to contact the pharmacy directly.
Once CVS Pharmacy receives the prescription, the pet owner can choose to pick it up in-store or opt to have it delivered, if eligible.
Pet owners may add their pets to their CVS.com profile and manage eligible pet prescriptions through the CVS Health app.
Electronic prescription capabilities, will be added in the coming months.
CVS Pharmacies also will have shampoos, wet and dry food, flea and tick care and dental treats in the Pet section of CVS Pharmacy stores and on CVS.com.
