CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Clinton Township police are investigating a car accident that killed a 66-year-old man on Tuesday.
Police said the crash is believed to only involve one vehicle. The crash happened on eastbound Interstate-94 between 14 Mile Road and the Harper Avenue south exit in Clinton Township.

The driver was transported to Mount Clemens Regional Hospital, after two nurses stopped and performed CPR at the scene. The driver was later pronounced dead.
Investigators say that for the driver lost control of his vehicle for unknown reasons. The vehicle then struck the retaining wall separating east and west I-94. The driver broke through the wall and entered westbound I-94.
Police said it is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
They have not released the driver's name.
