Severe weather, tornadoes possible in Houston ahead of Michigan-Washington title game

Michigan fans visiting Houston for the College Football Playoff title game on Monday could be dealing with some severe weather, causing travel delays for those flying in for the game tonight.

Much of the Houston area, along the Gulf of Mexico, into the Florida Panhandle, are in the Enhanced Risk category for severe weather -- the third highest on a scale of five categories.

The window for severe weather is from 3 p.m. thru the early evening, according to KPRC. The severe weather risk brings potential for damaging winds, large hail, tornadoes and possible flooding.

Major delays are also being reported out of airports in and around Houston due to the weather.
