LOOK: Huge tree falls on car in North Carolina; driver rushed to hospital

A North Carolina man was rushed to the hospital Sunday after a huge tree fell on his car.

According to a report from WCNC, multiple emergency units were called to the scene. The black Corvette was completely crushed with the driver still inside. Responders had to pull the driver out through the back of the vehicle.

According to medical personnel, the man suffered potentially life threatening injuries.

No other information is available on the driver’s condition.

It is believed that the tree was struck by lightning in the strong storms that swept through North Carolina on Sunday.
