Bell Biv Devoe, Salt-N-Pepa to perform at Pistons games in April

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – The Detroit Pistons announced Monday that hip-hop artists Bell Biv Devoe and Salt-N-Pepa will perform during games in April.

Bell Biv Devoe will perform on April 17, during the game agents Cleveland.

Salt-N-Pepa will host the halftime on April 26, when the Pistons take on the Philadelphia 76ers.

"Bell Biv Devoe and Salt-N-Pepa are two award winning musical performance groups that we are pleased to add to our season-long halftime concert series," said Harlan Hendrickson, Vice President of Marketing for Palace Sports & Entertainment and the Pistons. "We look forward to their performances and know they will add excitement above and beyond the great basketball that is being played on the floor."

Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins and Ronnie Devoe make up the members of Bell Biv Devoe which released their first album Poison in the early 90s.

Poison reached number one on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop chart, and its title track, along with its second single, "Do Me," both reached No. 3 on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart.

The single "Push It" by Salt-N-Pepa members Cheryl James, Sandy Denton and Deidre Roper became a national hit and was nominated for a Grammy.

The group's third release, Black's Magic, featured the hits "Do You Want Me" and "Let's Talk About Sex." while the fourth album featured hit songs "Shoop" and "Whatta Man."

In 1995, the trio won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance, making them the first female rap Grammy winners.
