The New Jersey Devils won the 1st overall pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft during Saturday night's lottery.
The Devils were slotted in at the 5th pick but moved all the way up to the 1st. They had just an 8.5 percent chance of winning this lottery.

The NHL draft is Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24 in Chicago.
