DETROIT – The Detroit Tigers are conducting a lengthy search to replace Brad Ausmus as the team's manager, but names are already emerging as favorites.
CBS Sports reports former Miami Marlins manager and current Rockies bench coach is being targeted by the Detroit Tigers and Philadelphia Phillies.

Redmond spent two seasons as the Marlins manager, compiling a 155-207 record.
The Colorado Rockies were eliminated from the 2017 playoffs this weekend after losing to the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Redmond was also a player from 1998 to 2010, playing for the Marlins, Twins and Indians and winning the World Series in 2003 with Florida as a catcher.
Redmond managed the Lansing Lugnuts, a Class A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, in 2010.
Brad Ausmus could find new home
Former Tigers manager Brad Ausmus is on the New York Mets radar to replace manager Terry Collins.
The Fanrag reports Ausmus and the Mets have had some conversation, but nothing is close.
Ausmus is believed to be a candidate for the Phillies job, as well. Ausmus spent four years in Detroit, but decided to move on after the season ended as the Tigers rebuild.
