Spotlight: Fitzgerald High School Draws Attention to Kandi White for 2019 Fall Fan Choice Awards

DETROIT – Kandi White is the 2019 Fall Fan Choice Award Art Club winner. She attends Fitzgerald High School. She expresses herself through art and uses it as a tool to keep her focused during chaotic times in life. The Art Club has taught Kandi how to be creative and calm. It is a space for many to fulfill their artistic passions.

She began to draw at the early age of nine. She loves using inks and pencils to create her masterpieces. Kandi’s best advice to artists is to “think of your own ideas and draw them.” Art is her passion, and she plans to pursue it further at the College of Creative Studies or School of Art Institute of Chicago.

She is a huge fan of photography as well and loves to take pictures of nature and animals. Her best tool so far is her phone.
