DETROIT – The Detroit Pistons updated the injury status of guard Jaden Ivey just days before the start of the playoffs.

Ivey has been out since Jan. 1, 2025, when he broke his left fibula. On Thursday, the Pistons announced that Ivey “has been cleared for basketball activity and will now enter the beginning phase of a re-conditioning progression, along with a continued progression of court work.”

The Pistons have done more than stay afloat in Ivey’s absence, maintaining a stranglehold on the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference. They will finish fifth if they win their final three regular-season games.

But they would gladly welcome him back into the mix this postseason. Ivey was averaging 17.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4 assists per game through 30 games while shooting 46% from the floor and 40.9% from beyond the arc.
