Woodson Jr. is a 5′11″, 160-pound athlete out of Orlando, Florida, who holds additional offers from Florida State, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, and Syracuse.
Receiving offers from those colleges proves that the son of the Wolverines’ last Heisman Trophy winner, Charles Woodson Sr., has talent in his bloodline.
But rocking his father’s legendary No. 2 on the defensive side of the ball will not only get his family’s juices flowing, but the fans in Ann Arbor will be salivating as well.
For those who are unfamiliar with Woodson Sr., he, alongside winning the Heisman, captured a national championship during the 1998 season.
He played for the Wolverines from 1995 to 1997, leaving his mark as the greatest player in school history. As the only primarily defensive player to win the Heisman Trophy in college football history, he remains a standout.
Woodson Sr. was a triple threat, making big plays on offense, defense, and special teams during his three-year stint.
He concluded his collegiate career by accumulating 18 interceptions, which ranks second in school history.
Woodson Sr. declared for the 1998 NFL Draft, where he was selected by the then-Oakland Raiders with the fourth pick in the first round.
Before becoming an ambassador of the Raiders, Woodson Sr. collected some more hardware on the next level as he went on to achieve:
- Super Bowl champion (XLV) (Green Bay Packers)
- NFL Defensive Player of the Year (2009) (Green Bay Packers)
- NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year (1998) (Oakland Raiders)
- 4× First-team All-Pro (1999, 2001, 2009, 2011)
- 4× Second-team All-Pro (2000, 2008, 2010, 2015)
- 9× Pro Bowl (1998–2001, 2008–2011, 2015)
- 2× NFL interceptions leader (2009, 2011)
- NFL 2000s All-Decade Team
- PFWA All-Rookie Team (1998)
- Art Rooney Award (2015)
- Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame
- 2021 Pro Football Hall of Fame
