The NBA is releasing its schedule this week, and the Pistons are getting some national attention.

The Pistons will host the Boston Celtics in the 8 p.m. primetime slot of the NBA’s annual MLK Day slate, which includes three other games starting at 1 p.m. on NBC.

The Pistons were the story of the league last season, with a historic bounce-back year, marking their first return to the playoffs since 2016, and their first win in the playoffs in more than a decade.

Detroit will host Boston at Little Caesars Arena on Monday, Jan. 19, 2025. The Celtics have had a busy offseason, retooling in the wake of an Achilles injury to their star Jayson Tatum, who will miss the entire upcoming season.

The Pistons will also be featured in a Peacock exclusive game vs. the Cavaliers on Monday, Oct. 27.
