DETROIT – After the Detroit Tigers clinched the third AL Wild Card and the Cleveland Guardians clinched the AL central division title this past weekend, the two teams are set to face each other for the third time in three weeks.
This time, the first team to two wins will move on to the American League division series to face the Seattle Mariners.

The two teams faced off last year in the American League division series, where they played all five games of the best-of-five series and Cleveland ultimately beat Detroit, later losing to the New York Yankees in the American League championship series.
The Tigers and Guardians will play the entire Wild Card series in Cleveland at Progressive Field.
