DETROIT – The start of the Detroit Tigers’ winner-take-all game against the Cleveland Guardians on Thursday has been moved back two hours.

The Tigers and Guardians were tentatively scheduled to play all three of their wildcard series games at 1:08 p.m. this week, but since the Los Angeles Dodgers swept the Cincinnati Reds, they don’t have a game Thursday, Oct. 2.

That allowed the remaining three series to move their games back a time slot. So Game 3 between the Tigers and Guardians will begin at 3:08 p.m.

The winner of Thursday’s game will move on to play the No. 2 seed Seattle Mariners in the ALDS. The loser’s season is over.

Jack Flaherty is scheduled to start for the Tigers, with Slade Cecconi opposite.
