Michigan high school basketball rankings (Jan. 5): Top 20 teams in the state

Local 4 has partnered with STATE CHAMPS! Sports Network to become the leader in Michigan high school sports coverage.

It’s the first rankings of 2026, and Detroit King has entered the Top 20 rankings alongside Ann Arbor Huron for the first time this season.

On Saturday (Jan. 10), there will be some big matchups in the “Gotta Get It Classic” at East Kentwood to go along with the “Hudsonville Showcase” and “Mitten Recruit Showcase” at Waterford Mott.
