DETROIT – Justin Verlander hadn’t posted on his social media account in over two years, but that changed when he signed a deal to reunite with the Detroit Tigers.

Before this week, Verlander’s last post on X/Twitter was way back on Dec. 3, 2023 -- and that was also a Tigers-related post. That day, he tweeted to congratulate Jim Leyland, who managed him in Detroit, for making the Hall of Fame.

Verlander got back online Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026, to post a message to Tigers fans after he agreed to return to Detroit on a one-year deal.

“Back where it all started,” Verlander wrote, alongside a highlight video to Eminem. The clips showed some of the top moments from his previous 13 seasons in the Old English D.
