DETROIT – The Detroit Pistons are hosting a playoff series for the first time in nearly two decades, and their run will begin right here on Local 4.

As the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, the Pistons will host the No. 8 seed in the first two games of the first round.

Tipoff for Game 1 is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2026. It will broadcast on NBC and stream on Peacock.

The Pistons will play whoever finishes second in the East Play-In Tournament, either the 76ers, Magic, Hornets, or Heat.

Detroit finished with 60 wins this season -- its best regular season since going 64-18 in 2005-06. This year’s team had the third-most wins in franchise history behind that 2005-06 team and the 63-win 1988-89 squad.

While the Pistons won two playoff games last season for the first time since 2008, they’re looking to actually win a series this time around.
