ANN ARBOR – As the University of Michigan marks Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a symposium of events lasting through March, a visit from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. himself to the Ann Arbor campus was nearly forgotten.
“It was almost exactly 50 years ago, and it was a time when Martin Luther King was a pretty controversial person.
According to school records, King gave two lectures that day: "Moral Issues in Discrimination" and "The Future of Integration."
