A car crash on Detroit’s east side early Saturday morning has claimed the life of a young girl and left five others injured.

A 21-year-old from Canton Township was among two people killed in a two-car rollover crash on a highway in Plymouth Township.

HARPER WOODS, Mich. – A man was shot early Thursday while walking in Harper Woods, police said. According to police, the 18-year-old was walking from work to his home in the 19800 block of Beaconsfield Street just after midnight when he was approached by a tan Buick Lacrosse. Two people got out of the car and fired three shots at the man, police said. The victim ran into his backyard, and the shooters fled the scene in the Lacrosse, which was driven by a third person. Police said the victim was shot once on his finger.
