Jeff Kent has been elected to baseball’s Hall of Fame by the contemporary era committee, while steroids-tainted stars Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens were among seven players who fell short once again.

Cole Hamels, Ryan Braun, and Matt Kemp are among 12 newcomers on the Baseball Hall of Fame ballot.

Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Don Mattingly and Dale Murphy are on the Hall of Fame's contemporary baseball era committee ballot.
