It aired a night later in Britain, where ITV said it had 13.3 million viewers, a huge number for a smaller country. Powered by Winfrey and royals, CBS won the week with an average of 6 million viewers in prime time. ABC had 3.5 million, NBC had 3.2 million, Fox had 2.5 million, Univision had 1.3 million, Ion Television had 1.1 million and Telemundo had 1 million. MSNBC had 1.88 million, TNT had 1.41 million, CNN had 1.25 million and HGTV had 1.11 million. ABC's “World News Tonight” won the evening news ratings race with an average of 9.3 million viewers.

LONDON – Netflix has “no plans” to add a disclaimer to “The Crown” stating that its lavish drama about Britain's royal family is a work of fiction. In a statement Saturday, Netflix said it has always presented the drama, as just that — a drama. “We have always presented The Crown as a drama — and we have every confidence our members understand it’s a work of fiction that’s broadly based on historical events," it said. “The Crown” creator Peter Morgan, whose work also includes recent-history dramas “The Queen” and “Frost/Nixon,” has defended his work, saying it is thoroughly researched and true in spirit. Charles Spencer, Diana’s brother, was one who called on Netflix to add a disclaimer.

Members of Parliament will vote later Tuesday on the proposed tier system as the country prepares to come out of lockdown. Critics say the measures will devastate businesses, especially pubs, which face some of the tightest restrictions. Johnson urged legislators to back the measures, saying the country must “hold our nerve” until vaccines are approved and distributed. But pubs and restaurants face strict limits in Tier 2 and closure in the topmost Tier 3. Entitled "Harry and Meghan: An African Journey," the one-hour documentary sees the prince tell Bradby: "Being here now, 22 years later, trying to finish what she started, will be incredibly emotional. Announcing plans to take legal action against sections of the British press, he said his "deepest fear is history repeating itself." In another clip from the documentary, Meghan talked about the pressure she faces as a newlywed new mother in the glare of the media spotlight.

(CNN) - Hit maker Mark Ronson has walked back his comments about identifying as sapiosexual. "I do not consider myself part of any marginalized community, and I apologize if anybody misunderstood or took offense to it," Ronson told Rolling Stone. Ronson told ITV's "Good Morning Britain" last week: "I feel like I identify as sapiosexual." "And they were like basically like, 'OK, Mark Ronson identifies himself as sapiosexual, that's great,'" he told Rolling Stone, referring to the ITV anchors. Ronson told Rolling Stone that after the ITV interview, he realized his comments about sapiosexuality had generated headlines that didn't reflect what he'd intended.

That's because "Love Island" is a smash hit like few others. At its core, "Love Island" is a dating show. Eyal Booker, a contestant from "Love Island" season 4, told CNN that being on the show can be dangerous. "Love Island" is a good reflection of how modern love works, he believes, and the show enables a positive place to find it. The P&O cruise ship Britannia was on the final leg of a cruise to Norway's fjords from Southampton, in southeast England, when the fracas broke out, ITV reported. ITV's "Good Morning Britain" correspondent Richard Gaisford was on board the ship when the fight broke out. The passenger's attire apparently upset some of the guests, Gaisford said. Police told ITV that three men and three women were assaulted during the fight and that there were a number of injuries including cuts and bruises. Those believed to have been involved in the fight were confined to their cabin for the last day of the cruise, ITV reported.

Netflix via CNN(CNN) - UK television network ITV has teamed up with the BBC on a streaming product that gives British audiences a new alternative to Netflix. For 5.99 ($7.50) per month, users will get access to older shows and new HD programming across multiple screens. BritBox will cost the same as a basic Netflix subscription but it's 3 ($3.75) cheaper than the American company's HD offering. Netflix has more than 150 million subscribers. UK media regulator Ofcom published survey data last year suggesting that Netflix had 9.1 million UK subscribers.
