The appointment wasnt on his weekend public schedule, and his last physical was in February. Press secretary Stephanie Grisham says the 73-year-old Trump is ``anticipating a very busy 2000 and wanted to take advantage of ``a free weekend in Washington to begin ``portions of his routine checkup. The February checkup showed hed put on some pounds and was now officially considered obese. The physical comes as House investigators are interviewing a White House official as part of the impeachment inquiry.

President Donald Trump plans to attend a meeting of NATO leaders next month in London, where he will try to convince U.S. allies that they should increase defense spending. Trump has long pushed those allies to reduce their reliance on the United States for security assistance. White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham says that during the visit to London from Dec. 2 to Dec. 4, the president and first lady Melania Trump will attend a reception hosted by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace. WASHINGTON, DC The White House is objecting to a forthcoming book by an anonymous author who describes President Donald Trump as volatile, incompetent and unfit to be commander in chief. The Washington Post acquired a copy of the book, called "A Warning," and first reported on its contents Thursday. White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham says, "The coward who wrote this book didn't put their name on it because it is nothing but lies." The author is identified only as "a senior official in the Trump administration." According to the Post, the book describes racist and misogynist behind-the-scenes statements by Trump and says he "stumbles, slurs, gets confused, is easily irritated, and has trouble synthesizing information."

Vindman testified to House investigators that he tried to suggest changes to the transcript that was released by the White House, but was unsuccessful, the people said. The White House on Thursday pushed back on the idea that Vindman had suggested that the ellipses in the rough transcript represented missing information. The White House ultimately released the rough transcript after the whistleblower complaint, but insists Trump did nothing wrong. In the White House rough transcript, there are three parts of the telephone call where ellipses replace what was said. Vindman told House investigators his efforts to add back the missing language were unsuccessful and the White House released the transcript with the gaps, the people said.
