(Surry County Sheriff's Office)LOWGAP, North Carolina (WGHP ) - The Surry County Sheriff's Office discovered human remains Saturday while executing a search warrant at a home on 321 Bowie Lane, according to a press release from the agency. Surry County detectives arrested Javier Gonzalez Garcia, 47, and he was charged with the murder of Martin, deputies say. Garcia is held without bond at the Surry County Detention Center. The Mount Airy Police Crisis Management Team and NC State Bureau of Investigations assisted the Surry County Sheriff's Office in the search.
