The chance for snow showers either on Christmas Eve day or Christmas itself is highly dependent upon the wind direction flowing over the relatively warm Great Lakes waters. At this point, I don’t think we’ll see much in the way of snow shower activity on Christmas Eve Day. Temperatures will fall through the day Thursday, reaching the mid to upper 20s (-3 to -2 degrees Celsius) by late afternoon. Temperatures falling into the mid-teens (-8 degrees Celsius) by Christmas morning. Christmas Day itself will also be very interesting from a weather standpoint.

But strengthening south winds (15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph by this afternoon) will boost temperatures to near 50 degrees (10 degrees Celsius)!
