Car fire closes Lodge Freeway Sunday morning

DETROIT – The Lodge Freeway was closed in both directions Sunday morning at Martin Luther King Boulevard from about 6:40 a.m. until 7:50 a.m.

Michigan State Police say the closure was due to a car fire. There were no injuries in the incident.

The freeway was closed to protect firefighters working on the scene.

The scene has been cleared and all lanes are open.
