Go 4 It: How you can help Gleaners feed thousands of kids

Gleaners and its donors, such as Kroger, are addressing child hunger in Southeast Michigan during the summer when 300,000 students lose access to school meals. They will host a volunteer event on June 30 at their Taylor location to assemble meal kits, offering two shifts for volunteers. Gleaners, working with 350 partners across five counties, distributes over 120,000 meals daily, aiming to feed as many as possible through the Go 4 It Hunger Free Summer campaign. Additionally, donations are encouraged, with each dollar converted into six meals through a matching fund available until August 31.
