Community gathers for fire prevention lessons, open house in Farmington Hills

At the "Go 4 It" event in Farmington Hills, participants learned essential fire safety tips, highlighting the dangers of lithium-ion battery fires and the critical role of working smoke detectors. Attendees, including homeschooler Tamika Wilson and tool owner Craig Pasechnik, gained insights into fire escape planning and battery safety. The event, part of a partnership with the Farmington Hills Fire Department, featured practical demonstrations and will be followed by an open house on October 4, offering interactive experiences like climbing fire trucks and practicing escape plans.
