Go 4 It: Michigan mother turns heartbreak into mission with suicide prevention nonprofit

Kris Miller, after losing her 15-year-old son Nikolai to suicide in 2019, founded the nonprofit On a Dragonfly’s Wings to aid mental health and suicide prevention. The organization offers families tools for coping and encourages open discussions about mental wellness, hosting events and a youth camp called Camp Dragonfly. Miller's mission is to honor her son's memory by focusing on joy and supporting grieving families, while recognizing that everyone grieves differently.
