How THAW's 'Gift of Warmth Telethon' aims to help struggling families keep their utilities running

Local 4 is collaborating with The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW) for the "Go 4 It: Gift of Warmth Telethon" on December 2, from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m., to assist individuals struggling with utility bills during the winter. THAW, which allocates over 80% of donations to direct services, offers various assistance programs, including utility help for pregnant women and water bill support. Last year, THAW provided over $8.6 million in utility aid to 11,000 households across Michigan, with a focus on families with children, seniors, or veterans.
