New study finds rate of multiple sclerosis is rising in Black women

Women are three times more likely than men to be diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, an incurable disease that affects the central nervous system. MS has long been thought to affect white women of European descent primarily. But new research finds rising rates of the disease among black women. That has patients and doctors fighting for answers.
