Michigan confirms first measles case of 2025 in Oakland County

Michigan's first measles case of 2025 has been confirmed in Oakland County, connected to international travel. The infected adult, whose vaccination status is uncertain, was contagious from March 3 to March 11, visiting several locations including the Henry Ford Rochester Emergency Department. Health officials emphasize vaccination as the best protection, with the MMR vaccine available at health care providers and county health centers. No secondary cases have been confirmed, and efforts are ongoing to identify additional exposure sites.
