American Academy of Pediatrics has issued its first new guidelines for childhood obesity

The problem of childhood obesity has only worsened over the past decades. In fact, in the past 40 years, obesity rates have tripled in children and quadrupled in adolescents. Now the American Academy of Pediatrics has issued its first new guidelines in 15 years to aggressively address the problem.
