Wayne County man allegedly plotted ISIS attack

A Wayne County man, Ammar Abdulmajid-Mohamed Said, 19, was arrested and faces federal charges for planning a mass shooting at the U.S. Army’s Tank Automotive & Armaments Command (TACOM) in Warren, Michigan, on behalf of ISIS. Said, a former Michigan Army National Guard member, allegedly coordinated with undercover FBI agents, providing materials and training for the attack, and using a drone to map the location. He was apprehended before the planned attack on May 13, 2025, and is charged with attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization and distributing information related to a destructive device, facing up to 20 years in prison per count.
