Troy hospital shooting victim testifies about troubled relationship with suspect
Tyler Matoin, a 25-year-old radiology employee at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital, testified about his deteriorating friendship with coworker Robert Paljusevic, who allegedly shot him in March 2025. Their relationship soured after Matoin's father's death, leading to aggressive behavior from Paljusevic, including an incident where he urinated on a prayer card. On March 20, Paljusevic approached Matoin in the hospital parking garage, fired five shots at him, and was later arrested; Matoin survived with gunshot wounds and identified Paljusevic as the shooter.
