Antifreeze spill in Warren causes road closure and $10,000 cleanup

Police in Warren are searching for the driver of a black Ford pickup truck responsible for spilling nearly 200 gallons of antifreeze on Eight Mile Road near Van Dyke Avenue. It happened just before 4:30 a.m. on July 1, when a large container of antifreeze fell off the truck's trailer. While there are no environmental or health risks, the spill required a costly cleanup by the Wayne County Road Commission, leading to a road closure. The truck, last seen heading northbound on Van Dyke Avenue, had a yellow cage in its bed, and anyone with information is urged to contact the Warren Police Department.
